This course of study prepares students to become entry-level technicians familiar with various aspects of automotive diagnosis and repair. Structured laboratories give students hands on experience using the tools and techniques currently employed in the automotive repair industry. Students successfully completing this program will be able to diagnose and repair any of the basic systems on late model cars. Please contact Mr. Metzler if you have questions about the program.

The Automotive Technology Course is a two year course.
Each year has the following components:
1st Year:
1st nine weeks - Fundamentals of Automotive Technology
2nd nine weeks -Basic Engine Concepts
3rd nine weeks - Brakes
4th nine weeks - Steering and Suspension
2nd Year:
1st nine-weeks - Electrical / Electronic Systems
2nd nine weeks - Automatic & Manual Transmission / Drive Train & Axle
3rd nine weeks - Engine Performance
4th nine weeks - Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
